| Beware of Imitators! |
It has come to our attention that a former salesman from our company has set up his own South
Carolina-based company and web site (with an out-of-state phone number), attempting to copy our
business model and sell similar products. Please be aware that this person was only affiliated with
Magnolia Carts for a matter of months and knew nothing about the ice cream, gelato, or Italian Ice
industries or the cart or portable sink industries until he was trained by our company. This person is
not selling the same freezers or sinks offered by Magnolia Carts. In fact, the freezers used in their
carts were rejected by Magnolia Carts three years ago because of an unacceptable rate of failure we
experienced when we carried them. Our products are the result of years of in-the-field testing by our
own company-owned ice cream store.
Magnolia Carts has been in business since 2003, was started by an ice cream store owner frustrated
by the high prices and lack of user-friendly carts available and has been an innovator in this business
since the beginning. We invented the Portable ice Cream Sink with a U.S. Patent awarded in 2007 for
our Model PS1. We currently have patents pending on all of our other Portable Ice Cream Sink models.
These are pending patents which, if approved, will result in some of this imitator's sink products to be
found infringing on our patents. We also have a patent pending on our newest innovation: the
fold-down Lexan sneezeguard, which makes our carts even more user-friendly.
Our two piece cart systems, with the sink and dipping cabinets offered separately and/or together as
one flexible and interchangeable cart, have revolutionized the industry. Only since we have been in
business have frozen dessert vendors had such a high quality cart at such a low price that not only
also fits into the back of a minivan, but is backed by the personal customer service that you would
expect from someone who knows the business inside and out.
